Our client, leading oil & gas producing and refining company in Qatar seeks to recruit a dynamic and qualified professional to join them as

Head of Process & Facilities Engineering

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the ideal candidate will hold a B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 10-12 years’ experience in monitoring, testing, evaluation and optimization of operating plant facilities, solving process and equipment problems and project process development experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industries with process simulation, P&ID development, conceptual and detailed design of which at least 3 years should have been as a Section Head or Lead Engineer. Must be conversant with use of process simulation and design packages and in the development of equipment process specifications. Key responsibilities of the selected candidate will be to:

• Supervise the activities of assigned personnel in the process-engineering department.
• Monitor day-to-day process and utilities’ operation in plant and the offshore field location, design & implement special testing programs as necessary to anticipate, evaluate and resolve process problems.
• Assess efficiency in consumption and yields of raw materials and suggest changes to further improve operating efficiency with current procedures and equipment or by the implementation of new or modified equipment/systems through capital projects or non-capital modifications such as operating procedures and conditions control systems.
• Develop and assess alternative process options based on sound engineering principles and cost/budget analysis and develop process details for new projects and for de-bottlenecking and upgrade modifications to existing facilities.
• Work with other specialist personnel to develop detailed process and equipment design and specifications and co-ordinate installation and commissioning of project facilities in accordance with appropriate recognized standards.
